Normington Multi-Faith Cathedral

This cathedral was constructed in response to the “Weeping Mary” Statuette. Many different religions and denominations and churches were making claims of domain on the artifact. Ultimately Dr. D’Angelo and Samuel Shields negotiated that the statuette would stay on site in a structure designed specifically to allow the various factors to all have access to the statuette.

As a result, the Cathedral has a sort of 8-pointed-star shape to it, with each of the ‘spokes’ housing various churches. The layout attempts to keep various denominations that are copacetic wit each other in close proximity and those that are confrontational to each other distanced.

One concession that was made to the university and the Catholic church (of which a church had this item in a storage reliquary) is that the steward of the Weeping Mary be Sister Mary Margaret Catherine Janine, the nun who helped the University find this item.

The cathedral has scheduled times where individuals are allowed to interact with the Weeping Mary by appointment, as well as segments of time, where people are allowed to walk Near the Weeping Mary and spend 3-5 seconds paying their respects. In either of those cases, if the Mary is weeping, the attendees are allowed to touch or consume the tears.
